I took my first photos at age 7 when my father gave me a Ricohflex. My family traveled a lot and I would follow my dad around and just do what he did. He would do the light meter thing and set the f-stop for me, etc. That was in the 1950's and I still consider my self a beginner. Most of these photos were taken with a Canon Digital Rebel. I also now carry around a Canon SX10 IS which is lots of fun. Very recently, I have become fascinated (maybe obsessed) with the iPhone.
I have taken a lot of online classes from Carol Leigh (Photo Explorations) and thank her for my continued interest in photography. Her classes have helped me see my world in a whole new way.
